OXFORDS: No longer for the straight-laced

I am a high-heels girl. Yes, the kind of person who wears them to the grocery store (my mother never understood the reasoning – um, Hello! I might see someone that I know?!?), around the house, to #brunchheart . . . ok obviously heels are a staple accessory to NYC brunch . . . or so I thought until I discovered Oxfords.

Inspired from the Oxonian, a half-boot with side slits that gained popularity at Oxford University in the 1800’s, the Oxfords seen today still stay true to their preppy ancestry, but now have a modern flair. With all kinds of colors, styles, and embellishments everyone from hipsters to fashionistas are rocking the runway and the city streets in style. Pair them with a skinny jean for a casual-chic look, or grab a metallic pair with flirty dress and tights for a night on the town.  Oh, and for you ladies that just can’t bear to break up with your heels, Oxfords have heeled versions too. Do I sense a new love affair in the works?
